Hi peeps! I don't know how many of you are still reading my blog. I just realised that I blog like only once a month. Haha. super lazy, can't help it. Actually I haven't got much to update too. Life's very much settle, nothing new or exciting has happened recently. But it's very fufilling here, there'r always activities every weekends. Maybe because there are friends here so it's fun everyday. ^^

Yesterday 2 of my friends and I went to this restaurant "Deep Blue" to eat Singapore food. It's not superbably nice but it's really good. Got Zichar stall's taste. But the restaurant is super atas, ironic right? We had seafood hor fun, salty fish fried rice and chilli crab. Each person comes up to around 90 Rmb. Quite a good meal we had. Then we went to this coffee house called Costa to chill. I had a classic hot chocolate, ordered the large cup and boy, it's HUGE. Haha. Didn't quite expect that. Picture's in my friend's camera, he'll probably tag me when he upload the photos. So you all can just let you imagination run wild meanwhile =)

This weekend's Qingming, got 3 days holidays. Going to climb Huangshan, hope it'll be fun ba! Will be good if we can see the sunrise! *prays hard*

Hello frenssssss! It's Ray broadcasting her life in China to you once again! And once again, sorry for the lack of updates, been busy recently and haven't been sleeping well. =( Don't ask me why coz I have no idea too, always awoke in the middle of the night. Sometimes more than once T.T

The weather is getting colder and colder. It's supposedly already spring but the weather is crazily cold and it rains ALOT. I have 2 sores on my fingers, some people here told me it's 冻疮 (you get it when it's too cold) and it's not healing =( *hates* Anyway, weather forcasted it will snow yesterday and today, was pretty expectant, but nah, other than rain yesterday and sunshine today, no sight of snow at all. *disappointing*

Today, I went to see Suzhou's very own opera called 锟曲，not sure if I got the 锟 correct, but anyways, you peeps can google it if you're interested. It's quite funny la, it's about this scholar who fell in love with this girl in the painting, then he keeps talking to her (opera style), and he's abit 自恋, says when he moves to the right, 小姐's eyes follwed him to the right and when he moves left, 小姐's eye follwed him to the left. -.- Then in the painting there's this willow tree, then the scholar's name's 柳something梅, then he say he must have been the willow tree coz the lady keeps staring at the willow. Then he keeps talking to the lady in the painting as though she's there and pretends that she replies to his every question. It's so scary la, like some psychopath. Lolx. But apparently this opera is quite popular. I wonder why. Haha.

O, and yesterday I went to Suzhou Musuem. Took alot of photos, but..... as you all knows, I can't really upload, and I haven't found a way to do that so, just keep your curiosity on hold, I'll try to find time during work to upload them. It's late, better sleep early tonight, my eye rings are scarily dark. Goodnight folks, Oyasumi nasai!

Hi all! I'm so so so so so sorry for the lack of blogging! my connection is horrible, so I really hate to log on to the net. It takes me forever to load the page. Moreover, my com is plugged to the TV most of the time, so can't really online too.

My CNY was GREAT! Fujian is so fun~ Staying in the countryside is a whole new experience. But it's really good. Maybe the house that I stayed in was relatively good. The only bad thing was that it rained almost the whole time while we were there, and the weather was freaking cold~ But we get to 放鞭炮！On new year's eve, almost every household will do that and I was told even if you'r not at home, someone will come over and help you do it outside your house. O, and their fireworks!! It's 360degrees, as in we were surrounded with fireworks! Machiam free lydat~ haha.. My friend's uncle and aunt are awesome host. They keep making us eat and eat and eat, I gained like 2kg over just 1 week la. They've this custom there, that when you visit their house during cny, it's compulsory that you eat 2 eggs. They usually cook it with mee sua and they add alot of other stuffs. Even an egg lover like me got sick of eating eggs. =X It's a super slack cny, don't even feel like coming back to work. We are either eating, mahjonging, playing poker, or out shopping or visiting temples. Don't know why, but Fujian seems to have alot of famous temples. I totally miss that kind of life~ But anyway, work started last saturday. Yep, I worked sat and sun, worked 3 days but today is still Monday~ Sianzzz.. I WANNA PLAY SOMEMORE!!

Talking 'bout shopping, we went to Fuzhou on Wednesday. Was supposed to take the train back to Suzhou, but LUCKILY no more ticket, so we had to stay 1 night there. There's this 学生街 there selling clothes that are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally cheap. Had a fruitful time there. Shuangzzz. I wanna go back there again!!!

School's starting this Friday le, hope it won't be boring ba~ anyway, that's all for now, will update again when I'm freee~ Haha. Paiseh ar =P

P.S. I bet you all are dying to see the photos I took in Fujian. But uploading takess literally forever so nothing for now. Sorry 'bout that. I'll see what I can do. >.<

The long awaited post

Hi all! sorry for the lack of updates~ haven't really got the time to blog... Life's pretty fulfilling up till now. We finally started cooking for ourselves! Healthier and cheaper, minus the fact that I have a flatmate who eats ALOT and don't grow fat, so we actually snack quite a bit The Lays here is FANTASTIC! Alot of flavors! And they this pockey look alike called Peejoy. Very nice as well! Think I'm really gonna grow fat at this rate I'm eating. Haha. =X (Btw, things here are really not that cheap! =( )

During our free time after work, if never go groceries shopping, we would either tabao back home to eat or cook for ourselves, then sit in front of my computer and watch Hong Kong drama, plus we bought pills to soak our feet too.. haha.. super enjoy! Just yesterday, we bought a cable to connect my lappy to the LCD TV. My lappy has officially became the DVD/movie streaming player now. =P O and I learned to play DOTA as well, but as you guessed, I sucked at it. Haha.. keep dying, very demoralising. Lol..

Btw, will be going to Fujian (my fren's hometown) this CNY. Can avoid the cold as well. Heard CNY period is the coldest time in Suzhou. Hope it'll be fun over there. Can get to soak in their festive mood and maybe 放鞭炮。Happppyyyy~

O! And today I went running in the afternoon, was really cold! But it's a good experience! I might just do it again. But it's been raining alot recently, and it really doesn't help with the cold cold weather. I miss SG's warmth sometimes~ Luckily I have a thermal thingy that I put under my bed, so I get really comfortable and warm throughout the night. =)

Hmm, that should be about all for now. Tomorrow still must work, Monday blues~arghh. Anyway, I uploaded some photos to fb already. But not all are there 'cause uploading always fail after I waited for eons! sian x 10000000.. Soooo long folks! Goodnight!

1st Day of Work

Hi all! It's Ray's reporting time again! Today's my first official day of work. Woke up super early at 615am. Slept at 2am the night before because we just moved in. Damn tired today. Throughout the orientation, keep battling my heavy eyelids. But managed to "tong" till the end of the day. Haha.

The company provides free lunch, so that's really good, considering that 90% of my pay goes to paying the rent. Left with only 100rmb/mth, how to survive??? LoL.. Jialat. The company has free gym also, so that's good. 'Cause I conbirm will grow fat. The food here literally swims in oil. And I get hungry easily. Haha. That aside, the people in my department are generally nice. Very friendly. Hope it'll stay that way. O and we'r suppose to do a presentation on ourselves, our goals. Can show pictures. Haha, lucky can access facebook!

As for my house, we finally got the necessities; water dispenser, internet pillows and stuffs. Still got other things to buy, but it gets dark so early over here, and we are always so tired everyday. Haha. Shall see how la.

3rd day!

Hi all! It's my 3rd day here! Am adapting to the weather. Realised that actually wearing long john helps ALOT! Haha. I'm adapting well, so no worries k =)

Anyway, finally found an apartment that we like very much. But it came at a high price la. It's 4200/mth. Only 2 rooms so the guys sharing the masterbed room. I'm getting a room to myself so paying more, 1500/mth. The view of the masterbed room is awesome! Spectacular I would say. My room's view not as nice =( But overall, I really like that place. And can move in tomorrow, hopefully. There's a tenant there still, moving out tomorrow, don't know will move till what time. Damn. Paid 1000 commission and 3 months rent. Broke already. Haha, changing 2000SGD is a good choice lo.

O and I opened a bank at ICBC bank. Can donate to my account if you want. Muahaha. That's all for today. It's late, gotta go sort out groceries to buy for tomorrow! Goodnight folks!

Arrival.

Hi all! Thanks for your wishes, care, and gifts! I've arrived safely, albeit w much difficulty, haha. First the flight met a lot of turbulence, so it was a bumpy ride. But thank God I managed to reach safely. Nothing much on the first day in shanghai. Stayed at a hotel for a night and met up with the rest of the NTU Suzhou people and went for briefing in Shanghai NTU office. Had my first China meal there, not fantastic. Not to my liking as you all expected. Haha.

Came to Suzhou, went apartment viewing. Not very successful. Only viewed 2 apartments today. We liked one of it pretty well, near company. But owner can only move out on the 21st. =( Work starts on 18th. No good. Bunking in with another group now, so there's 7 people in the house now. House is quite spacious, but still, I hope I can get my own apartment soooon! More apartment viewing tomorrow, hope that we can find a good apartment.

On the brighter side, we had the chance to see fireworks near our apartment!!! I said that the fireworks on New Year was awesome, THIS, is beyond AWESOME!.. It's like never ending. Very long. One after another, like freeeee~ Haha.. Love it! And we were very near to it. Never so near before that it actually seem scary. Haha.

Suzhou is a really nice place. Very beautiful at night! Other than the food that I don't like, and the damn cold weather, I think I kind of like it here. O, and crossing the road here is a skill sia! Difficult to master, and damn dangerous, like will get run over easily. Haha. But so far so good, don't be too worried about me, I'll learn to cope w the freaking weather. Argggh!

Busy day

Met up w wen wen today.. She made a card for me, and treated me to a meal, hardly so nice to me lo, guess leaving has some good too..muahaha.. =P I'm so gonna missssss her, all the verbal abuse I shower upon her everytime we meet, and the sweet talking. . . haha, gonna miss it! ^^

Also went swimming w Shy after that. Actually I went swimming yesterday too, thought since I probably won't be able to swim for 6 months, better swim as much as I can in Sg. Was contemplating of swimming tomorrow as well, but Eve suddenly called and ask me to be sister for her evil twin's wedding. Gotta wake up at 4 plus am! Zzz..Hope it will be fun, had never been a sister before, but gotta start counting le! They say that be sister for 7 times then can't get married off le, right? Haha, anyway more on that tomorrow.

I also tried packing my luggage just now. Didn't expect myself to have so many things to bring. All the while I thought there wasn't much stuffs to bring. Dead wrong! My luggage can't even close now. Sob. Even with my bro's gf's help -she's damn pro in packing! Thank God. Haha.- I still can't close it. =( Gotta repack tomorrow when I come back, maybe take out some stuffs. But what should I take out?? Everything looks so essential. *headache* Help~~

Dim Sum Dollies~

Met up w my JC classmates for dim sums just a while ago. Swee Choo Dim Sum I think, it's veryyyyy nice, and not that ex too. It's at Jalan Besar, quite ulu, but still w/in walking distance from either Lavender or Farrer Park MRT. Nearer if you walk from Lavender.

Food aside, it was a good gathering! Had a lot of laughters from their funny experiences in NS. Haha. I wonder why I don't used to meet up with them. Was I really that anti-social?... hmmm.. Anyway, they were suggesting to go Bangkok during the holidays, maybe when I come back. Hopefully I still got $$ left, haha. Haven't been very frugal this holiday, so must really exercise self-control over at China. Please keep reminding me peeps!

13:05 - Met Ben to collect a gift from the boys ^^ (as he calls it which is namely him, ek & yf). It was... well... wrapped extraordinarily. Can see some effort put in, 'cause got "ribbon". Think he got inspired by Eve's style. LOL. Curious to see Ben's work?? Haha, there you go:

Comments are allowed for all post. Rate Ben's creativity and wrapping skills! Haha, anyway they got me a headphone, and bacon salt. Not too sure why they got me that, the bacon salt. That's why I was wondering why he wrote salt is AWESOME outside. Anyways, it's supposedly a zero calorie, zero fat, vegetarian and kosher seasoning that makes everything taste like bacon, and I'm supposed to be able to use it on EVERYTHING. O and did I mention? It's low in sodium too. Haha, very thoughtful =)

The Legendary Bacon Salt (or maybe I'm just sua gu la)

13:45 - Met up with Song Qian for a FREE lunch after that. Think the bill came up to quite a bit. He didn't let me see, but can roughly add up la. I pray he don't ever go oversea for some super long trip, if not I have to match up his farewell lunch. Lol just kidding la Mr Song =P After your super long lecture on how I exudes this evil aura and am like a little devil that keep nagging you not to go to this wedding dinner that you OBVIOUSLY had no interest in going, I am repenting. Actually, not really. I still think my perception/logic's not skewed! Convinced me otherwise! =P

Only managed to take 2 pictures. Too busy eating already, haas.

16:00+ - Went Chinatown to source for some presents for my new colleagues and supervisor/s in China. Totally not well versed in all this little gestures la~. Luckily got advisor cum helper for the day, haha. Taught me how to subtly "suck up" to my boss. LOL, came at a relatively high price though (considering my dwindling acct). But for my Jiam Tao(A), hope this 'll be a good investment! After much headaches on what to buy and how MUCH to buy, finally can go back home. . .

19:00 - Not so fast! Last day of promotion for citibank/g2000 members! Chiong to get me work wear even though I'm heavy laden with stuffs while waiting for Ben. Borrowed his polaroid for my trip, hopefully can take some nice photos to make into a little album =). G2000 mad crowded with people, I left all my barang barang in a corner where it IS blocking people. Haha, no choice, no place to put already, need to try on my blazer. As always,am indecisive. Spent hours trying on/off this 2 blazers I picked. In the end, ask the auntie sales assistant to decide for me. Haha. Finally can pay for my loots. Butttttt... I already maxed out my citi credit card so can't use that for the additional discount and need my mum's IC since she's the member, so no discount either. Chiong for nothing. Zzz.

The first post of my 101th blog

Tada! Finally got my blog up. This is of course not my 1st blog. Had many other blogs which I started and tried keeping at it for a little while. Well, obviously they didn't last through more than a few posts. I'm just plain lazy to keep blogging every other day la. Plus, my life really isn't that exciting. Nothing much to write about and some stuffs are too private to be blogged about.

But since I heard that I might not be able to access facebook in China *devastated~* (my crops are gonna die in country story, and my employees starved to death, lying on the floor asking for food! T.T), therefore here I am, trying to blog again! Will try to blog as frequently as possible so that you all can be in touch with me.^^ They say "out of sight, out of mind". This is my last desperate attempt to make you all remember me! 6 months is not a long time, but neither is it short. Imma gonna haunt you all even in China! muahaha~
